Sotong kacang panjang goreng


Sayur dan lauk dalam 1 pinggan.

Bahan-bahan
2 ekor sotong besar (dipotong dan direbus seketika)
Bawang besar - hiris/mayang
Bawang putih - hiris/mayang
Bawang merah - hiris/mayang
Kacang panjang (boleh ganti dengan kacang buncis) - potong agak2 1 inci
Cili merah - dipotong ikut suka :)
Kicap masin - 1 sudu kecil

how-to
  1. Tumis semua bawang hingga wangi.
  2. Masukkan kacang panjang dan cili merah. Tumis hingga agak2 nak layu.
  3. Masukkan sotong yang direbus tadi. Kacau2 aje.
  4. Masukkan kicap. Kacau bagi rata.
  5. Tutup api.

Cek mek

Tak perasan ada 3 draft entry. Baru hari ni publish.

I bought a big sweet potato yesterday. Memang niat di hati mahu buat kueh cek mek. Baru kali kedua buat. Senang je rupanya buat kueh ni. LOL.



Sweet potato (boiled - cooled - mashed)
Tepung secukupnya ( don't have plain flour in stock, so i replaced with bread flour)
Sugar for filling
Oil for fying

How-to
  • Wash and boil sweet potato.
  • After a while, set aside and let it cool.
  • When it cool, mash it.
  • Form in oval shape and fill the center with enough sugar.
  • Fry until the color turn yellowish.
Easy peasy is it?

Menu di public holiday

Semalam ke pasar malam. Beli sedikit ikan, sotong, bawang dan petola. Dalam fridge, masih ada beberapa ketul daging batang pinang yang dibeli di pasar malam Puncak Alam, 2 minggu lalu. Still in good condition.

Dan, ini lah hasilnya.

Petola masak lemak putih. Biasanya, petola saya buat masak sup telur. Tapi kali ni, try buat masak lemak. First time buat. Guna santan kotak aje :) 1 small box of instant coconut milk. Thanks to lizacomel from myresepi. The full recipe is here.


Sementara tunggu petola masak lemak putih mendidih, saya siapkan daging masak kicap. It's different from other resepi masak kicap yang saya pernah jumpa. Ini versi kesukaan kami adik-beradik, and it's my mom's original recipe. Meat is boiled with ginger and onion. Later on, pour some milk and kicap lemak manis. Itu aje. Simple. Daging boleh ditukar kepada ayam, and it tastes very delicious for me.



Akhir sekali, sotong goreng tepung. I browse for recipe to make it more crispy. And I found it here at Sweet Lily kitchen, owned by Nina. Normally i only use plain flour, but this time, I add cornflour and soda bicarbonate. Using white egg left from husband's telur ayam kampung, add a little bit white pepper; it turn a good result. Crispy and delicious.



Cut some watermelon and make fruit punch drink, Alhamdulillah, habis :)

Steamed corn for toddler



Iman suka makan cup corn atau pon corn in cup. Tapi kalau yg beli kat luar, you wouldn't know how much they put the salt and everything. You wouldn't know if the corn kernel is washed or not. Jadi, home cooked is the best option.

I bought a packet of corn kernel. Harga dia murah je. RM3++ kot. You can find somewhere near frozen thing (of course la kan). Yeah, I know, it's not so fresh. It'd be great if you can use fresh corn on the cob. Tapi tak apa lah, dah on-the-go mom. Frozen pon frozen la :)

bahan-bahan
enough corn kernel
fresh milk
1 teaspoon butter (nak lebih pon tak pe)
a pinch of salt

how-to
  1. steam the corn kernel for 5-10 min (sampai dia lembut sket)
  2. mixed steamed corn with fresh milk, butter and salt.
  3. serve it warm.

Bebola donut

Sometime this week, I've found out that Iman like donuts. He could finish half of Dunkin donuts. Banyak tu sebab donut tu kan besar :) So I made some for him. Untuk makan petang keluarga semalam.

Bahan-bahan
200g tepung roti (saya lebihkan masa proses menguli)
20g gula
1/2 sudu kecil garam
1 sudu kecil dry yeast
140ml susu segar
20g butter
minyak masak untuk menggoreng
sugar powder (saya gantikan dengan caster sugar)

Cara-cara
  1. Campurkan tepung, gula dan garam. Gaul rata.
  2. Buatkan lubang di tengah-tengah. Masukkan susu dan yis.
  3. Gaul-gaul sampai sebati.
  4. Masukkan butter. Gaul lagi sampai betul-betul sebati.
  5. Kemudian tutup dengan kain basah.
  6. Bila adunan naik sekali ganda, boleh la bentukkan dan goreng.
  7. Angkat dan golek-golekkan atas gula.
  8. Siap.

Shark fin soup

last week kami ke pasaraya (CF, SubangJaya). Husband tanya, "Tau masak shark fin?". Jawapan "Taktau. Kalau nak makan, cari la resepi. Kita buat sama2".

Tengahari tadi husband tunjuk resepi kat internet yang dia jumpa. So, saya pon masuk dapur dan masak lah berdasarkan resepi yang telah disalin ke dalam notebook saya.


Bahan-bahan
Ayam bersama tulang dan isi ayam
1 sudu besar stok ayam Maggi
1 biji telur - dipukul
1 sudu tepung jagung - dibancuh dengan sedikit air
Gula, garam
Japanese shark fin
Air untuk merebus

Cara-cara
  1. Rebus ayam bersama tulang selama 30 minit
  2. Masukkan stok ayam dan isi ayam. Biarkan seketika.
  3. Masukkan telur yang telah dibancuh. Kacau supaya tidak berketul.
  4. Masukkan gula dan garam.
  5. Kemudian masukkan air bancuhan tepung jagung. Ikut kepekatan yang disukai.
  6. Akhir sekali, masukkan shark fin. Kacau seketika.
  7. Siap.

Prawn in the vege


Hmm... sesungguhnya, I don't know how make variety of vege dish. Asyik dok ulang yg sama. Carrot, broccoli, bunga kobis. Nak mixed warna-warna sayur. Ada oren, hijau. Untuk kali ni, the green color came from bayam. Err.. ke sawi? Hmmm.. confession = tak tahu nak bezakan sayur2 berdaun yang warna hijau.

Bahan-bahan
Bawang putih
Carrot
Bayam/Sawi
Bunga kubis
Udang
White pepper
Sedikit sos tiram
Gula/garam
Air secukupnya

* potong semua sayur.
* mayang/tumbuk bawang putih

Cara-cara
  • Tumis bawang putih. Masukkan sedikit white pepper. Kacau hingga wangi.
  • Masukkan udang dan kacau seketika.
  • Masukkan air, sayur dan sos tiram. Kacau.
  • Perasakan dengan gula & garam.
  • Siap.

Chicken sandwich



Bahan-bahan
Ayam tanpa tulang secukupnya (goreng/rebus sebentar, dan dipotong-potong halus)
Tomato (potong halus dan nipis)
Timun (potong halus dan nipis)
Mayonis
Roti
Butter

cara-cara
  1. Satukan tomato, timun dan mayonis. Gaul sebati.
  2. Saputkan roti dengan butter di setiap permukaan roti.
  3. Sapukan campuran tomato, timun dan mayonis ke atas roti.
  4. Letakkan ayam yang telah dipotong halus dan nipis tadi.
  5. Satukan kedua-dua keping roti tadi.
  6. Siap.

Kung Poa Chicken


bahan-bahan
1/2 biji bawang besar, dipotong dadu
2-3 ulas bawang putih
1-2 inci halia
3-4 tangkai cili kering
Capsicum secukupnya
Sedikit tepung jagung
Air secukupnya
1 sudu besar sos tiram
1 sudu besar cili sos
Gajus secukupnya (i skipped this)
Gula dan garam secukupnya

Cara-cara
  1. Salutkan ayam dengan tepung jagung. Goreng sehingga kekuningan. Ketepikan.
  2. Potong dan cuci cili kering. Goreng sekejap dan ketepikan.
  3. Tumis halia dan bawang putih sehingga wangi.
  4. Masukkan capsicum, sos tiram, sos cili, bawang besar, ayam dan cili kering yang telah digoreng tadi. Gaulkan sehingga rata.
  5. Masukkan sedikit air.
  6. Perasakan dengan gula dan garam.
  7. Siap. Boleh makan.

Honeystars Pancake



Use same recipe of mini pancake. But, I add on some fresh cream and honeystars powder. How I make my honeystars powder? It's easy! Use dry mill blender. Put honeystars as much as you like and start blending. Pour into the pancake batter.

The pancake has a nice smell. Betul. Tak tipu.

Oh, this time I don't use brown sugar. I substitute with 1 teaspoon of caster sugar. I think, that's why the color is much more cantik. Not so brown-ish.
